Technical Event Production
At the heart of any major event is a team of industry professionals, tirelessly working behind the scenes, who bring different technical aspects together to create that WOW! factor
Some events may just require a sound system and a microphone but there are events that demand the whole nine yards. Whether that be a conference for 300 delegates or a music event with 10,000 people each and every event is different. Lighting, staging, vision, rigging and much more are brought together to deliver that key event. Corporate functions tend to require sharp visuals, subtle lighting and crisp audio where as music events can be a bit more rugged – big PA systems, lots of lights and an abundance of energy!
Design realization, conception and implementation
From initial conception, through to pre-visualization and then to the finished product DSM Productions can make your vision come to life.
Starting with a site visit we will ascertain what you want your event to look like. Following on from the site visit we can begin working on designs & ideas, producing a 3D visual design of the event so you know what to expect before you commit to signing on the dotted line. When your happy with how you want your event to look we will then start to put together the technical side leaving you to relax knowing your event will not only look great but run great also.
We have a pre-production suite at our premises which can be utilised for a number of tasks including pre-build of lighting, prep, manufacturing custom set & scenery.
Technical Event Production and Management
The key to any successful event, whether it be a music concert or conference is preparation and knowledge. The last thing that either an event manager or production managers needs is to worry about the technicalities of their show. They’ve already arranged venue, catering, security and everything else so its time for DSM to take over.
Our equipment is tested at each prep and if needed a pre-build will be carried out, this helps to keep build time down but also iron out any issues that could delay an event start time. Load-in times can be very tight so the more that can be done off-site the better. But what happens when something doesn’t go as planned? Having the technical knowledge on site is crucial. Our team consists of a variety of specialist members including sound engineers, lighting designers, stage managers, visual engineers and much more.
Frequently Asked Questions
What costs are involved with complete production packages?
Simple answer, how long is a piece of string?
There a so many variables to each event that we deliver and giving a ‘ball park’ figure on costs is a fairly difficult task. Costs come down to various requirements such as equipment, crew, logistics & welfare.
I don't really know what we want, can you help me decide what my event needs?
Of course we can.
Our team are more than happy to arrange a meeting with you to ascertain your requirements & then arrange any follow up meetings or site visits. Once we have a good understanding of what your event needs are, we can then put together a proposal & give you a good idea of what it will cost to deliver the event for you.
We already have some parts of our event booked, can we still use you?
We always prefer to supply all of our own equipment & crew, this way we know exactly what to expect and how the event will be delivered, but can work with other suppliers you may have appointed.
We work well as an industry, and there will normally be some sort of overlap on major productions, so we are used to working in synergy with other production companies.
What guarantees do you offer?
Live events can throw up a number of issues and unfortunately we can’t guarantee that everything will always run smoothly however we do promise to deliver the very best service that we can & we can back this up with exceptional Google ratings from clients we have worked with on past projects.
